This is not a job. It's a chance to build something that millions of Nigerians will use every day — and feel it working. We hire slowly, deliberately, and for keeps.
We can't always win on salary alone. We win on ownership, impact, and the chance to build something that actually matters.
We ship weekly. Decisions take hours, not weeks. You'll see your work in the hands of real Nigerian buyers and sellers within days of writing it. No approval chains. No design-by-committee. You own your work.
Every product decision starts from a Nigerian reality. You're not adapting a Western product for Africa — you're inventing the Nigerian version from scratch. That's a different, harder, more interesting problem.
Every full-time Luuk employee holds equity options. When this company grows — and it's growing fast — the people who built it share in what they created. That's not a perk. That's the deal.
When you fix a bug in the escrow flow, a seller in Kano gets paid faster. When you improve the video feed algorithm, a buyer in Enugu finds exactly what they needed. You see the effect in real time.
28 people doing the work of 80. That's not burnout culture — it's what happens when you hire extremely well and trust people completely.
We're not filling slots. We're finding people who will own these functions for years. Read carefully — if it sounds exactly like you, apply.
You'll own the Luuk mobile app — the primary experience for every buyer and seller in Nigeria. This is not a maintenance role. You'll be shipping new features weekly, optimising performance on low-end Android devices, and making decisions that affect millions of transactions.
You'll own both sides of the Luuk marketplace — bringing in high-quality sellers who post great videos, and growing the buyer base that watches them. You'll build the community systems that make Luuk addictive: referral programmes, seller onboarding, weekend sale campaigns.
You'll own the physical side of Luuk — the part that happens after the app. Logistics partnerships, delivery SLAs, city expansion playbooks, and the systems that ensure what Luuk promises actually happens in the real world. If the app is the promise, you're the delivery.
Luuk is a video platform. The quality of content on the feed is the quality of the product. You'll train and coach sellers to produce better videos, create the guidelines that define what a great Luuk listing looks like, and manage the editorial angle of the blog and socials.
You'll be the person standing between Luuk users and bad actors. Reviewing disputes, investigating fraud, suspending accounts that break the rules, and designing the policies that protect buyers and sellers. This is a judgement-heavy role — you'll make decisions that affect real people's money.
Submit your details below or via the role card. No cover letter required. We read everything — usually within 48 hours.
A 45-minute video call with the hiring manager. We talk about the work, the role, and the person you are — not brain teasers.
A focused, real-world task relevant to the role. Paid at your day rate. We value your time. No spec work, ever.
We don't always post every role we'd make. If you're exceptional at something and believe it belongs at Luuk — write to us. The best hires we've made weren't listed anywhere.
